- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For the typical tax return we offer flat fee pricing based upon filing status. There are exceptions which is return dependent, e.g., more complex tax situations, multiple w2s or 1099s(more than 3) or other situations that require more time than the average tax return with the same filing status.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once retained, typically the process starts with a phone call to discuss the particulars. Next the client receives a link to our secure site where they will answer a questionnaire to obtain other relevant information and upload all current tax documents as well as a copy of the previous year tax return if available. After these steps are completed, and all required documents are received, the preparer will begin the tax return.
