- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jordyn Calhoun attended Oklahoma State University while pursuing a degree in Liberal Studies. As a college student she started working at Petco in the grooming department. She quickly realized she loved working with dogs on a daily basis and went on to attend the American School of Dog Grooming. In 2010, she founded “The Pawparazzi Lounge”, the premier dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility in Edmond, Oklahoma. Her time at The Pawparazzi Lounge taught her about k9 behavior, pack integration, and the need to provide dogs with dialy mental stimulation. Her desire to offer pet owners in Edmond, Oklahoma a complete and well-rounded solution for their four legged friends has led her to open Off Leash K9 in Oklahoma.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you can easily talk to your trainer. If initial communication is a problem then it is doubtful that future communication will improve.
