FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge individuals $90 per 55-minute session and families and couples $120 per hour session. I do have some appointment slots that are negotiated on a sliding scale according to need. I don't accept insurance at this time, but can provide you with a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company. I accept cash, checks and credit cards.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually set up a time to talk with potential clients on the phone to learn more about their needs and their schedule. Then we set a first appointment. I make sure clients know how important it is to feel comfortable and understood by their therapist. If we both don't feel like it's a good fit at that first appointment, I will refer them to another qualified therapist and they don't have to pay me for that initial visit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and specialty training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, Bereavement Counseling, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Techniques, and Gottman Couples Therapy. I also received my undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
