Introduction: "Your setback is only one scene in your story" - Sunday Burquest
Sunday's message is simple and relatable, no matter the setback, failure or disappointment, a shift in mindset can be the empowerment one needs to stage a comeback.
Her presentation is motivating because it comes from the heart. Sunday choose to use her biggest battle as an opportunity to fulfill her biggest dream. After a shocking breast cancer diagnosis in 2012 and subsequent treatment, she decided cancer would not define her, choosing instead to use her story as a vehicle to follow her dreams. Four years later she was cast on the Emmy award winning television series, SURVIVOR: Millennials vs Gen-x. Sunday's authenticity draws her audience in, allowing them to relate their own story to hers.
Her talk challenges the listener to change their point of view, giving them the tools necessary to use their setback as fuel for their comeback.
Sunday has several keynote speeches:
Survivor Strong - Your Setback is only One Scene in Your Story" Your setbacks are only one part of your story, by purposely finding positive in the midst of negative, one is empowered to use that setback as fuel for a comeback.
Power to Survive - The power to survive is an inner-strength residing within every person, it simply needs to be discovered. Sunday's journey through hardship demonstrates the path anyone can take to find their own strength.
Real Life Survivor- Playing a game on a reality television show is fake, right? Maybe not. Navigating relationships in the game of SURVIVOR is surprisingly similar to those with clients, co-works and friends. Sunday gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her time on the television series, SURVIVOR while giving the audience an opportunity to have a fresh view on how to improve their working relationships.
Breast Cancer Awareness - Sunday was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the young age of 41. After a long and difficult treatment regime, she was declared cancer free. Sharing her story gives a personal face to a disease 1 in 8 women will face in their lifetime. She will have the audience laughing and crying, hoping to expand their sense of compassion and motivate them to action.
