FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge an hourly rate for "punch list" handyman services. Usually I give a good estimate of the amount of time jobs will take but in this line of work there can be unexpected surprises. With this model my clients know they wont get ripped off and I don't get burned if unexpected issues arise. However, for my woodwork I can give a set price because the hours and material can be closely calculated.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After initial contact on Thumbtack I prefer to talk to my clients over the phone. A lot more gets communicated with a short conversation opposed to txt. Once I know the scope of the work I'll either want to come and see the job site or I can plan to complete the jobs with one visit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
