FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you are WITHIN a 30 mile radius from my home address, and have LESS than 3 animals total to care for, I start at $30/day. If have MORE than 3 animals, or live outside the 30 mile radius, my price will increase.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally have a phone visit with the new customer to get the logistics of what the job entails. Example: Location? How many animals? How long is the stay? Any extras, such as watering plants, picking up mail, etc.? Then I set up a FREE consultation visit to meet the animals, and their owner, to make sure that we all get along. And last, but not least, I confirm the dates required for my services, agree upon price, and ask that the owner leave HALF of the Total amount for the visit BEFORE leaving and the other half will be collected at the end of the stay.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As most people know, working with animals doesn't need as much "text book" knowledge as it does "hands-on" experience. Almost 100% of my training has come from working with and caring for many breeds, and species (this excludes snakes and spiders), of animals for close to 12 years now. My clients have also helped in my education as well to inform me of certain characteristics that their breed of dog, horse, cat, cow, etc, might have and how to handle them in the best way possible. I have also worked very closely with a few of the local equine vets in the area to further my knowledge in wound care and rehab for performance related injuries.
