Introduction: I specialize in newborn, children, and family photography. Newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, while other sessions can take place at the best location style for your children and family! I love working with Newborns, and take great care to keep your baby safe, and comfortable at all times. While I feel both professional and amateur photographers are capable of doing family photos; Newborns are very different. I take ongoing classes for my Newborn work to make sure I am up on techniques for safe handling and posing of infants. They require the most time, and care of any sessions; and I take it very seriously while at the same time capturing the newness of life. Your baby will never be this small again, these details change so quickly and need to be captured (typically) within the first 2 weeks of life. I know there are scenarios (my youngest son included) where there is an extended stay in a hospital, but let's get these pictures as soon as we can, and celebrate this precious life! I get to freeze time and capture moments that will quickly pass. As a mom of 4 young boys, I am daily reminded how brief this time is with our small family, and how they change just a little bit everyday. Our youngest son with born with a rare heart defect. We spent months in the hospital with him. I always knew how precious pictures were; but there were times when we thought we would lose him, and those pictures became the most valuable thing we have. The truth is we never know how much time we have with our loved ones. I want to encourage you (especially the mamas) to get in front of the camera and make memories with kids. Time is fleeting. We can't put this off until our lives...or waistlines are perfect. Now is the best time to take pictures!!
