Introduction: Design Shop Interiors is a boutique interior design firm, specializing in all aspects of residential interior design, from large scale new construction builds to home renovations and full scale interior decorating (ie furnishings). We are a team of 12 women, with years of design experience between us. We also have a brick & mortar (and now virtual) storefront located in Folsom, Ca.

When my husband and I were moving to a new house twice the size of our old house, I knew we needed help to create the home we desired. I spoke with a few local designers, but when I spoke with Leyla I knew she was the right person for us. What we appreciated most was that we could be brutally honest and not only did she not take offense, she encouraged our honesty. She was able to capture exactly the look and feel we desired in our home. Although we shared our design ideas, she had no problem challenging us to think outside of our typical design approach and we are so glad we trusted her process. We could not be more happy with our home. When I saw it for the first time, I was moved to tears. Having grown up with so little, we could hardly fathom that we were living in a home that was so beautiful. We were so pleased with the work done inside of our home that we did not hesitate to contact DSI when we found out we were pregnant. Once again the designers of DSI showed up and showed out. Our nursery design was the perfect balance of baby and glam like the rest of our home. Having DSI design our nursery was particularly meaningful because we had experienced several years of infertility but were finally able to conceive. We were so happy to bring our baby girl home to her nursery. As if having DSI design the entire interior of our home was not enough, we called them back yet again to help with our backyard. I remember sitting on our back patio in front of our firepit looking at our water feature and feeling grateful for the oasis DSI created both inside and outside of our home. There is a certain amount of vulnerability you experience when letting someone in your home. Leyla and the designers from Design Shop Interiors never took this for granted and always treated our home, our opinions and our money with the utmost respect. We are so glad we let DSI into our home and ... into our hearts.

DSI completely made our house a home by offering everything from color selection, cabinetry, furniture layout, furniture selection, and final styling. They can start with nothing and leave you with something magazine worthy. An amazing experience! Leyla and all her staff are super charming and funny. You will not find a better design firm in Northern California!

First and foremost the positive energy of the team is incredible. They don't just reinspire space but reinspire holistically the home and people living in it. Ashlee and Whitney listened to every word of the space I wanted to create in my 1952 Spanish Adobe. They helped ground the home and will continue to explore other rooms with the foundation they created.

This was my second project with Leyla and her awesome team. The first was a home in Ca and with such a great experience with her. I hired her to update a waterfront home North of Seattle on Camano Island. She took a very tired 70’s home and updated it to a rad show piece. Leyla and her team will be doing another home for me in the future. Thanks ladies!

It's best to have a conversation to understand how pricing works for our services and products we offer. It's not as simple as a single quote through a website. Jobs vary in scope and size. There are several ways our clients can take advantage of trade discounts and wholesale purchases through us.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Fist...we need to talk! Then we need to meet! Process varies depending on the type of job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a self taught designer with years of experience and a team of incredibly talented designers. With over a dozen magazine features to back our work up!
