- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our clinic fee is $70 for a sixty to seventy-five minute session. I see new clients for $50, seniors for $50, and can offer discounts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1000 hour certification in Therapeutic Massage from MTIC. This is the highest level possible. I took away the student achievement award that year for my reputation in clinic. Ongoing training every year since graduation, especially in the areas: Cranial & cranial-sacral, visceral, acupressure, trauma, scoliosis, whiplash, prenatal, osteopathic techniques, meditation, yoga therapeutics, energy work & therapeutic touch.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been a health nut and although I have a MA in Humanities, my favorite interests and extra curricular studies have been about health. I was very interested in yoga in the 1970s and took as many classes as I could find. They were hard to find. I became certified in yoga therapy in 1996 and that soon led me to medical massage. One good turn follows another!
