Shelly is honestly the best therapist I have ever had. When I came to her, I was losing hope in therapy in general, but I was in dire need of help - and I'm so glad I gave it a shot! Shelly has a warm nature that is hard not to feel comfortable around. She's positive and supportive while being honest, open, and completely accepting of any and all types of things you need to discuss with a professional. I know that when I go to her, I will feel like I'm talking to a friend with no bias and all knowledge, with my best intentions in mind. Personally, I believe I owe a lot of my stability and my bettering relationships to the work I've done with Shelly. She's very professional, is always courteous and transparent regarding any professional matters. One impression I get from Shelly is that she stays very current in her field and is always expanding her knowledge. I know that when I go to Shelly, I will be listened to, acknowledged, and given help from someone with an open mind. Shelly has done wonders for me and I can only imagine the things she is yet to do for others. I believe that Shelly probably does a good job relating to all types of people - I know she made me feel like I could truly be myself in our sessions which is why I believe I was able to make so much progress. Shelly was the best therapist I have had to-date. She was extremely easy to talk to, and I felt like she brought something new for me to think about each time I brought something up to her. She made therapy a place I looked forward to going, and I really valued the time I had her as my therapist. I would highly recommend Shelly to anyone who is looking for a compassionate therapy experience and who wants to feel like they are really getting some good work done when they are there.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee for 50-minutes is $90 for individuals. Typically my sessions with couples are 90-minutes for $140. I also have a limited number of sliding scale spots available for clients with financial hardship.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In order to see if we are a good fit to work together, we will have a 20-25 minute free phone or in-person consultation. We can schedule our first appointment then; we will decide the course of therapy together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Level 2 PACT Practitioner and have completed Level 2 in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
