Molding or baseboards,
Cory responded quickly to my project request. He was very positive and communicated thoroughly and intelligently throughout the project. The project was complicated and required long hours outdoors in the heat, but Cory worked hard and fast to complete it in a much more thorough way than I expected. He is a great problem-solver. I highly recommend Cory and will hire him again when the opportunity arises.Jun 2, 2018Verified
Knowledgeable. Honest. Excellent work. Bath remodel, recreation room, kitchen door install, etc.Aug 2, 2018Verified
Holy hell. I had Cory out one time to help me figure out what size sliding door to order. He was great and I figured he'd be my new best handyman. However, when the door was about to be received I wrote him to set up an installation date and.... nothing. It's been 5 days. He must have decided he didn't want to be a handyman anymore. The least he could have done would be to finish up the jobs he had agreed to do. If something horrible happened to him or his family and I finally do hear from him I will update. I suspect his name doesn't show up on this site anymore.Jul 19, 2018Verified
Cory was fast and honest about the price. Will use him again.Jun 22, 2018Verified
I hired Cory to work on a few small things in the house, such as the outdoor tap leak, fixing some light switches, sliding glassdoor lock, window spring balance and sink. He fixed all the problems that I raised very quickly and satisfactorily. He also gave me some suggestion on how to fix some issues myself on a couple things that I asked him about.Jun 20, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am very flexible on pricing, because often without a ton of analysis, review and pre-work, its hard to nail down a fair price. This is why many bids are often surprisingly high. I set a "common" and fair price, then discuss things that may occur and drive a cost up or down. If a project is easier than expected, we will reduce the cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to ensure that both the customer and myself are very clear about the work to be completed. I spend a bit of time discussing the task, expectations for quality, finish, longevity etc. I also like to ensure the customer understands any maintenance tasks that may be related or any other overhead that may coincide. After that, we'll work out the best time to perform the work and get to it!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Personal interest in understanding the work I used to pay professionals for (I've caught many doing subpar or incorrect work). After that, I started doing remodels in rentals I used to live in, then doing my own home work, friends and families.
