Introduction: I am very passionate about fitness and living an active lifestyle. I know the struggles of being overweight and have overcome my own personal challenges by losing 100 pounds. From exercise to fueling your body, I know what it takes to help you reach your goals and retain a healthy lifestyle. Whether you are looking to build lean muscle or shed the extra pounds, I am hear to help. I am a certified and accredited Personal Trainer through NCSF(National Council on Strength & Fitness) as well as CPR certified through National Healthcare Provider Solutions. I was previously one of the top trainers at Retro Fitness in Jacksonville, FL owned by David Garrard formerly of the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars. I helped start up the personal training program at the gym, and was an intricate part in making them one of Jacksonville's best gyms. I have successfully worked with all kinds of clientele from young to old, men to women. From those wanting to lose weight to those wanting to build strength and gain muscle. I feel the thing that separates me from the rest is I've been in your shoes and still am there. My favorite quote is "I'm still under construction" meaning I'm growing and changing everyday. Fitness is not just a phase or trend its a lifestyle and my journey is far from done and I'd love to have you along for the experience. Together there is nothing that can stop us from being the best we can be.

To Who It May Concern, Mr. Richard Johnson is an outstanding Fitness Trainor. He will be an asset to any company he works for. He is very professional and at the same time he develop friendship with his Trainees. He became my friend and sort of a Physical Therapist too. :-) Prior to meeting Mr. Richard Johnson, I am scared of going to the gym and I don't work out due to my spinal (C1,C2) surgery and torn meniscus both in 1999. Richard is aware of my disabilities and physical limitations. He customizes my trainings around my restrictions, just like a Physical Therapist. That is an asset. I trust him and felt safe under his care and guidance! I miss him and still hears his voice when I work out at the gym. Richard taught me how to maximize my training without compromising safety! I started training with Richard soon after joining the gym (July 2015) in an effort to find a routine that would best suit my goals with the intention that I would only use his services for 90 days (twice per week) I found our time together to be extremely helpful and continued working with Richard for over 5 months. Due to my work and home schedules I had put working out aside for the better part of 25 years. Soon after starting with Richard he had me at a level that was well beyond where I thought I would be in such a short time. Richard was ALWAYS prepared with a workout that was challenging yet achievable (with his coaching and help). Richard listened to my needs and was willing to go well beyond the call of duty to make sure I was getting what I needed. There were days that I didn't want to hit the gym but I knew Richard was going to be there looking for me (even on the days that we weren't working together). Not only is Richard a great trainer he has a passion for those that he works with. I highly recommend Richard to anyone who wants to get in or back in shape. Good Luck!

I had Richard Johnson as my personal trainer for quite some time. I am so happy that I got assigned to him. I had neglected my personal health and fitness, for many years. He is very motivating, and he had the patience to get me where I needed to be, and did not try to push me too hard, too fast. I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer for anyone. He has been a life saver, with my overall fitness!!
