FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a base package that starts at $1200, which includes a 3-4 minute, one song highlight film documenting the best moments from your special day. This is great for couples who are on a tight budget but still want a wonderful wedding film! For those couples truly wanting the full experience, I recommend the 6-8 minute, two-song feature film. Included in this package are lots of soundbites from the day, two videographers capturing everything, and up to ten hours of on-day coverage. Also, couples can add on full ceremony coverage, raw footage, or coverage of the speeches during the reception at an additional cost. I accept cash, checks, or credit card payments processed through Square. I send all my couples detailed invoices outlining the package of their choosing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
From initial inquiry to final delivery, Steed Films has five steps to ensure that clear communication on both ends is met, and everyone is more than excited for wedding day. (1) We'll talk on the phone to get to know each other a bit better. This is when we can get inspired and have a great idea of what kind of wedding film you want! (2) When the couple decides to book, we'll meet in person over coffee to talk more details and sign some contracts. (3) About 2-3 weeks out from wedding day, we'll meet in person again to review timelines and scheduling. Sometimes, details get left out (it's no one's fault, life just happens!), so this final meeting ensures that no one has missed anything. (4) Finally, wedding day is here and you get to relax and enjoy your special day! (5) After your honeymoon, we'll all meet back up again to premiere your wedding film for the first time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had over two years of experience making wedding films, and I've been interested in photography and filmmaking my entire life. Most of my training has been on-the-job (which really is the best way to train, in my opinion). In addition, I have attended wedding filmmaking workshops and absorbed as much as I can from online instructional videos. I am currently studying business at Dallas Baptist University.
