FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually like to quote to meet the client's budget needs while also balancing the quality of my work. I do so on an individual basis, knowing that behind a quote is a human being that needs individualized solutions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical process is discussing what specific story they want my pictures to tell, what they need me focused on, and most importantly how the photoshoot isn't going to feel like a photoshoot, it's going to feel like a journey. I like to make my photo shoots formal, with a vacation-like feel. I need my subjects relaxed, and I know that I may oftentimes be the first experience they have with a professional photographer. I'm here for the customers and the craft because they go hand in hand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained by the military to take pictures, an organization that has the biggest budget and quality equipment. I also have training within the newspaper business of taking pictures for both online and print, which means I can bring a disciplined history of meeting deadlines to all of my clients. You hire the military in me because the military offers some of the most comprehensive training in the world, and you hire the journalist in me because I know how to tell one heck of a story, and I want to leverage that skill-set to help all of my clients.
