FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 0.0135 per word for basic proofreading. For research-heavy editing, I charge 0.0175 per word. If you prefer, my hourly rate is $30.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask for half of my flat fee paid up front, and the final half may be paid once I complete the work. Another option is to do an hourly rate. I will establish a deadline with the author. I usually just make note of my questions to send to the author when I am finished; however, I may ask a question or two during the process, if I need clarification. I prefer to have the document emailed to me. I will work in Microsoft Word and send the author a copy of the finished work showing all my edits and an additional final copy with all the changes accepted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an English major, with a minor in Classical Languages. I graduated magna cum laude from Belmont University.
