Yes, I had to cancel due a part time job opportunity that will consistently provide income for my college tuition by working on the weekends, where as, Thumbtack gig's are a one time opportunity. I worked very hard to get this part time job, and didn't expect them to bring me on so early in the month. Having to cancel was a tough decision to make. I apologized and did my best to reprimand the situation by asking good quality friends of mine to help. The girl who replaced me is about to graduate with her nursing degree and works part time at a casual bar. Paolo's quote did not specify needing extensive cocktails to be made, therefore his replacement wasn't deemed necessary to have my level of knowledge when it comes to crafting drinks. If you would like a particular style of bartending for your event, then please specify and I can happily accommodate you with proper preparation. Also, I am not a bartending staffing agency of any sort. Just here to use my skill sets as a means to an end before graduating.
