Introduction: Christine meets her clients where they are. Whether they have never practiced yoga or have been practicing yoga for several years, she provides accessible, fun classes that challenge you to be present in your body. She tailors classes individual needs and offers skillful tools such as yoga asana(posture), body scanning, breathing practices, and guided meditation.
Since then, Christine has continued her yoga studies by attending many workshops and trainings with master teachers including Maty Ezraty, Max Strom, Judith Hanson Lasater, and Kino MacGregor. Most recently, she has completed the 500-hour Somatic Therapeutic benefits of Yoga Training taught by Janice Gates, Richard Miller, and Jill Satterfield and the 200-hour Embodied Mind Training taught by Jill Satterfield at Zazen in San Francisco.
In her practice, she uses mindfulness as a tool to integrate body, mind, and heart, which is especially effective in reducing stress and bringing awareness into posture during the yoga class and throughout the day. Her classes are focused on alignment, breath, and clarity with each asana transition.
I love connecting with people and teaching yoga is my passion. Through teaching and practicing yoga, I've found a more authentic connection with myself and a deeper connection with other people. Yoga benefits our body by increasing flexibility and by strengthening us physically and mentally. It helps us maintain our nervous system and gives us peace of mind. I'd like to share this experience with others and contribute my passion to the local community.
