FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally do not mark-up material. I find that customers appreciate the discounted rate that I purchase materials for straight from the supply company.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I like to clarify each aspect of the project at hand in order to accurately establish a time frame and price range. From that point, depending on the project size I will make arrangements to walk the job and take measurements. For smaller projects I can work with pictures. I find it critical to go over the time frame and price again, and to finalize expectations as well as express concerns I might have. After job completion and payment collection I encourage the customer to keep in touch in the case that there are any issues that need to be addressed or additional projects that need attention.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For the past 7 years I have been on a very large range of plumbing projects, and have performed in every involved role, from digging, demo and machinery operation, to schematic drawing for regional cancer centers. I have spent slightly more than half of my career in commercial plumbing, with the other half focused on residential plumbing and restoration projects.
