FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard pricing works great for things like installing trim or tile, but there are very few standard pricing items in what I do. Most jobs are based on time and material.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meeting in person and getting a real idea of what's involved in a job is very important, not only for pricing a job accurately, but for building a working relationship. You can tell a lot about a person in a short conversation about a project, for both the customer and the contractor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years as a Class C licensed contractor with the City of Denver. My Denver license is the only license I keep active, it's the only building department that 'tests' for licenses and with it any building department will give you a license. Constant learning from trade magazines and manufactures.
