FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Ask about my set rates for copy and editing during our consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do two aspects of research when I begin working with a new client. On one level, I learn about the client's industry where possible and research the key words that they and their competitors use. This gives me insight into the assumptions and quite possibly some blind spots too. On the second level, I spend time talking with my clients to get a feel for their values and their distinct voice so I can capture it in my writing. I always aim to write as if I am in a conversation with the reader because it invites connection. Last, I think like the reader, so I research the questions that are top of mind for someone encountering the material for the first time -- and I generally write with them in mind as the audience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
