FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I like to email back and forth, or meet for coffee (if possible) so we can get to know each other. I like to find out more about their likes and interests so we can try to incorporate things that are important to them in their photos. I also like to get an idea for what style photos they like (examples from Pinterest or other photographers) so that we can make sure we're on the same page about expectations. I believe that if we build a good relationship with each other it can help them feel more comfortable in front of the camera. This allows for more natural, relaxed and genuine photos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had a minor in Photography in college, and a major in Graphic Design. I have a very artistic background, and have been working in photography since being the yearbook editor in High School. I also served on the student-run school newspaper throughout my years in college, where I learned from a number of different mentors. After college, I began working at a marketing firm as a graphic designer, and I took over all of the photography for our company.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a number of different types of customers! I've shot sporting events for a newspaper, headshots for business websites, stock photography for advertisements, engagement pictures, weddings, families, anniversary and birthday parties, and so so much more!
