FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am 60 per hour. 500 for a full day which could be anywhere from 8 hours to 12 hours. Most full days go at least 10 hours. I work a 40 hour week and can be on projects for years and I make solid money working for a union contractor. I do as much additional work as I can professionally manage. This keeps me busy and creates a security blanket for slow work times. I realize that a stranger in your place making a mess and making noise is a pain in the ass. I really do. You need to realize that your electrical system can kill you and the code (NEC) is the absolute minimum acceptable standard.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication and manage expectations. We are not doing electrical work how you want it done. We are doing it my way because I know more than you. However you have the money and it is your property so we figure it out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
IBEW apprenticeship for Journeyman Inside Wireman and Certified high voltage cable splicer were the ones that took the longest to get. I have a drawer filled with OSHA classes and training for the equipment we use.
