My husband and I worked with Jon from J. Stud Studio for our wedding this year and I cannot day enough about how amazing the experience was. A thousand times over I would work with him again - from the professionalism and planning in our initial conversations to the creativity and caring nature the day of our wedding to the most beautiful photos that captured the day exactly how we expierenced it - full of love, happiness and a vision of our future - working with J. Stud Studios was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. As the day can get hectic, Jon continues to remind us to make sure we stop and look around and actually take everything in and ALWAYS made us feel like the day truly was about us and celebrating our love story with our loved ones. I can continue to look back at my wedding pictures and remember the day as if I was reliving it all over again and that is all thanks to J. Stud Studios. We are forever grateful.

Being from the Hoboken area, I hired Jon for my engagement shoot since he was also local and would really understand the best areas to capture our photos as well as the areas that were important to us. He had multiple cameras to take all different type of photos and such creative, fun ideas so that we didnt end up with the typical cheesy photo album. Needless to say, the portraits were more than we imagined based on this experience and because we were still in the process of searching for a wedding photographer, we hired him for our wedding as well. One of the easiest and best decisions we made. Our church was in Hoboken and the reception was in Manhattan and Jon was so accommodating to us and punctual (always early!) to every single change in location and in the schedule for the day. He handled everything with ease and made everyone so comfortable throughout the day from the posed family shots to the candid dance floor fun.Hiring Jon and his team was one of the easiest and best decisions we made and we now have portraits and pics of the best days of our lives including all of our loved ones who celebrated with us.

Hello! I am from Ohio and was determined to have our engagement pictures taken in New York City! I looked for weeks online (google, yelp, the knot, Instagram etc.) searching for a style I liked that fit my budget. After weeks of disappointment, I turned to the one thing that never fails me...Pinterest. I was looking for inspiration when I realized that photographers websites were attached to all the engagement pictures I was looking at. That is how I found Jon. From the second I reached out to him every transaction was professional, punctual and beyond pleasant. We exchanged a couple emails before talking on the phone to discuss further details including outfit changes and locations. After hanging up, it was a no brainer to me. He was nice, informative, within our budget and wasnt annoyed at all by my intent to have 3 outfits and 3 locations! Lol Luckily, he suggested a rain date in case we had bad weather n good thing he did because we were only in town for four days and ended up having to use our rain date instead. We spent 3 hours with him from 730 am to about 1045. It was early and cold but it didnt stop him from delivering everything I couldve hoped for and more. He had our photos to us by the next day and I almost couldnt believe them. He captured every bit of my fianc n I in every outfit and background just like I pictured. So if youre in New York...(or not..little ohio girl over here) I highly recommend J. Stud studio.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    We base our quotes on an hourly rate based on the indicated length of your event/shoot. We will try and work within your budget. There are no hidden fees and you retain all rights to your photographs. This enables you to use them however you like. Please keep in mind the amount of time I spend with you shooting I will spend editing your photos making them perfect. We take as many pictures as we can for the time-period we are hired. How many pictures we take depends on the specifics of an event. (Length of time, type of event, amount of activity) we typically provide 75 to 150 photos for each hour of an event. For example, at a recent modeling shoot for 2 hours, we provided 221 photos. Our goal is not volume, but to provide high-quality pictures which capture all aspects and the essence of you and/or your event.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    You hire us, we arrive at your event and take lots of photos. Within a week (and quite often in 48 hours), we provide you the link to your pictures! Prior to your event, if you have special requirements or concerns, we can discuss them on the phone or via email. If we are shooting a wedding we will meet in person. At any time before or during the event, please feel free to let us know any personal preferences or specific requests you may have.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    We have worked with various types of customers from newlyweds, models, Instagram influencers, corporate events and pets. Each one teaches us something about our daily life and we love capturing their moments forever.
