FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first started out painting with my father at the age of 10, he would take me to jobs during my summer break. Over the course of time, I have since been around many other forms of construction work and learned how to do many things related to home repairs and maintenance. I can say that, if I'm not knowledgeable about something, I will seek out help to learn about it, and at the very least ,give it a shot.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I think one issue that most customers fail to realize is that when inquiring about services such as pressure cleaning, house painting or driveway sealing, are that these services are estimated, for the most part, by square footage of the walls, roof, or driveways, and the quality of the product applied. I cant give a client an accurate estimate based off of under air sq/ft. I need to see the job, the specifics or difficulties that each home presents. Also realize that there are many grades of paint and each has a different cost and quality. A good example would be painting an interior, your home may be 2000sq/ft under air, however, you have more than 2000 sq/ft to paint the entire home, as well as different products to paint your trim, doors or other focal points.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I know price is probably the most important issue to most clients, however, when you are dealing with companies or individuals trying to do business correctly, please be prepared to pay a little more. Insurance and other fees add up and is a cost to your provider, which ultimately is passed to the customer. If you find a good service provider, you want them to be in business for you the next time you need them.
