Introduction: Whether you are looking for cinematic, high-definition video or still photography, GK Studios will be able to fulfill your needs. I cover a wide-range of video including events, promos, advertising, and weddings. Also, I can provide you with a variety of still photos which include graduation, head shots, family portraits, and model portfolio images at a reasonable cost. We are flexible with budgets, but never compromise on quality. I am a recent graduate from UH Manoa Creative Media (ACM), and am one of the co-founders of UH Productions, an on-campus video production organization. This has led to my experience both behind the camera and running a organization, and allowed me to work with a wide-range of artists/ clients. My clients includes Bobby Mileage Clothing, Eli Mac, KJ Kinis, Monsterkraft, UH Manoa Athletics, KTUH (college radio) and Kaleo (student news) organizations.

We were looking for a videographer for our dance company and had posted an ad on Craigslist. We have so far have worked with him on project, and we plan to have many more with him. We were looking for someone who can shoot dance videos and create promotional reels for our company. Gavin contacted us via our ad and I am so glad he did. Gavin is young and has fresh creative ideas. He is responsive to email/text/phone and punctual to our events. He uses good equipment and he is very knowledgable about the equipment he uses too. He is good at listening to our needs, sees our vision and is able to capture it in the videos he creates. We receive our copy of edited video within 1 week. Not only that, we were able to go thru the videos together in person and he is so receptive to editing it on the spot. We highly recommend Gavin as a videographer.

Working with Gk was an awesome experience. Great enthusiasm for my ideas and easy to work with. Gavin also came up with many great ideas to add to my shoot and help with the overall boost in the brand recognition of my product. The locations that they brought me to were above and beyond what I could have expected and brought a whole new feel to my BMC brand. I am looking forward to working with them in the future for the professionalism that was done even with post production and editing. Had my video to me in no time. I couldnt have asked for a better team to work with.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, my standard half-day rates (4 hour) for video are $300 and full day (8 hour) is $600, although depending on the client's budget, I am willing to adjust to fit their needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, it's all about rapport and communication. If we are able to understand what each other expects before the project is started, less likely there will be a misunderstanding down the road. Next would be establishing how their needs fit into budget, and adjusting the services accordingly. After that it's all about execution.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors Degree in Creative Media from UH Manoa, Executive Producer at UH Productions.
