FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $135 for a 50-minute session. That may seem very expensive and I acknowledge that it is a significant investment you are making to take care of yourself, your mental health, and your future. To put it into perspective, therapy is less expensive in the long run than other medical outcomes (having a heart attack, stomach ulcers, conditions requiring psychotropic medications, etc.) or relationship outcomes (mediation, attorney fees, divorce, etc.).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide free 20 minute phone consultations for new clients to determine if I am the right fit. Clients then schedule their sessions with me for a time that will typically work every week. I will send initial paperwork via a secure online system, and clients complete the paperwork before beginning therapy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters Degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake in Family Therapy. I completed my internship at the Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston. I have done contracting work and have experience with a number of presenting problems, including communication problems, lack of intimacy/connection, infertility, struggles with new parenthood and the postpartum period, grief, loss of identity, sexual issues, depression, anxiety, and family issues.
