FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we like to understand what is being requested. Then after inspecting the piano and offering a final price we begin working on the instrument, making any adjustments and repairs and finally tuning to perfection.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Piano tuning is a trade learned through practice and hard work. I’ve trained for many years and have trained other tuners. Every piano is unique and adds to my understanding of the instrument.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I trained under Robert Treadway and tuned my way through college. I studied music theory and music history in addition to sociology. After college I decided to keep the business going and have now expanded and hired another tuner. We love tuning pianos and helping customers. It’s more of a passion than anything else.
