    I recently had a counseling appointment at Ascent Psychotherapy Center and enjoyed my visit. I am currently starting the process of a divorce and received the coping skills that I desperately needed. I would highly recommend their services.


What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Initial sessions are $120, subsequent sessions are $110. APC also excepts insurance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
APC schedules each client according to availability of potential client. APC believes in cutting down on paper work. To that end, APC's New clients are able to complete all intake paperwork completely online in a secure, HIPAA compliant, manner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Valerie Kuykendall- Rogers has a master of arts degree and community counseling psychology from Lyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Valerie has also received training as a Level 1 Gottman their pay. therapy.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Valerie has always enjoyed working with others to help them rise above their pain in order to acknowledge their potential and achieve their purpose. Valerie started out working for crisis hotlines and also engaged in volunteer work to help children who were victims of abuse and or neglect.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Valerie has worked with children as young as four years old, adolescents, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, adult children of alcoholic families, the baby boomer generation, and couples.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Valerie is currently working on organizing the first ever trade show/expo for small business owners who specialize in the mental health industry. This is project is currently on going.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the individual that you hire as someone who is licensed, has experience/special training in the area where you desire improvement. More importantly, search for a counselor with whom you can feel comfortable with and how you feel is committed to working with you to achieve your potential and your purpose!
