Do not hire this contractor!!! I hired him for a two day drywall installation/painting and tiling, and it was a terrible experience. First off, he was sloppy. He put in the vertical walls before the ceiling which you do not do, he cut little pieces of drywall and installed them at the top to cover the breaks (this weakens the wall), and he only put up two boards and said he was going to leave and wanted HALF!!! of the money that day. I had agreed to pay half for half of the work. That would have entailed the drywall being up at that point because the plaster needs some time to dry before you can just throw paint on it. When he tried to obtain half of the money for half of the work, we told him no. We offered to pay for the materials and for labor for putting up the two drywall boards that he put up. That agitated him and he wouldn't leave my house. He said he was going to call the police on us, and I said I would be happy to call the police to have him removed. Finally, he accepted the payment for the materials and what we offered to give him for the work that he had completed without having to get the authorities involved. On top of all of this, he went on to give a poor review to my family's company online just to spite us. This is the worst experience I have ever had hiring someone for a job. Stay away!
