Where to begin, hired this company to do painting, installing flooring, light installation and sheet rock that took 3 months to complete when we needed it to be done in 1 month to put on the market. At the beginning of the project alot of things were promised and quoted but as time went on, certain things look half assed. We had to constantly tell them to do certain things over and over again. A list of things that took them on the fifth time because they decide to do it their way instead of listening to the customer and meeting our requirements:
1. They quoted us to take off wall paper in the kitchen but didn't and decided to painted over kitchen wall paper and said they did primer and second coat. We saw the wall paper and wasn't painted correctly.
2. Other rooms had some small dents and cracks and were painted over. The answer we got all of the time were, "that's how the wall is". That is not a good answer to give to a customer. The contractor should give his expertise and suggestion instead of bull shitting and just wanting to get it done in a crappy way.
3. The trims and transitions were not complete and was done his way without verifying with us the customer and made it looked ugly. He decided to argue and convince us that it's not possible. If a contractor has over 20 years of experience, then a simple corner trim should be easy.
4. The previous flooring we had were bamboo and when they removed it off the floor, they decided to throw it on our patio which is connected to our garage and had paint chips ripped off and had us go out and buy the paint. (we recently had our whole house and garage repainted from another contractor)
5. The men that he brought to help fix our house left paint mess and didn't properly blue tape certain areas and now we have to get paint removal to get rid of it.
6. The installation of the laminate flooring had chips and cracks on certain areas during the install and wasn't double checked and properly put in place. We had extra laminate that they could of used to replace.
7. They kept on asking for payment but the job wasn't met to our standards but we trusted this contractor thinking that he would take all of our asking and finish it.
We did a walk through of all our issues and he lost his cool in front of our mother. If we weren’t there, God only knows what would of happened if she just did the walk through by herself. That was very unprofessional and unacceptable.
Overall, this project wasn't the best but it at least got the job done... 2 months later...
