Company just called me and ask had bad it was. After working for a pest control company myself for 6 years . I guess my standards are average . I started to explain as best I could that it was a rodent (mice) and German roach problem. He final said we were not a good fit After not even calling to confirm an appointment he missed yesterday . Not sure what that meant . Sounds like he just whats to come and spray! We called joe to get an idea as to the severity the situation. Joe, given his 6 years in the industry, decides he could use those 6 years of experience and respond in the most condescending tone. Ok but joe, is your tenant seeing them in their bedrooms? Joe responds “hahaha I don’t know what your asking it’s roaches and mice”. Joe I’m just trying to get an idea of the severity. “Well they’re usually in the kitchen and bathrooms because they need water right?” It became obvious our process wasn’t a good fit for joe. At that point we decided it would be better if we didn’t do business. As far as the booking, joe sent a REQUEST for an appointment at 1:30am. Just an address. No phone number. I reach out to joe at 8am to ask for the phone number to discuss the details and confirm the request and to see if we could accommodate his schedule. Joe then reaches out to us the next day at 11am with his phone number. We didn’t have a phone number to call until today. We called and here we are. I’m sure there was confusion there with how Thumbtack goes about booking requests and confirmations. I’m also sure that this misunderstanding is what led to how joe went about the phone call. We got off on the wrong foot. It simply wasn’t going to work out.
