Introduction: I help couples bring back the love and passion they once had in their marriages. My focus is on action plans rather than on talking about feelings, and on identifying behaviors that are hurting or helping the marriage. I also work with one spouse alone when the other spouse is reluctant to attend counseling, and coach them on how to turn around the marriage by themselves. In addition, I do in-depth premarital counseling to help couples prepare for a long-term, happy marriages. I love working with people and helping them find hope that they can succeed in having a loving, fulfilling marriage.

From the first time I spoke with Debbie I could tell she was the coach I needed to help me, just from the first phone call she was compassionate, understanding and caring.My wife and I were going through many problems, I had set up a appointment with Debbie for the 2 of us and my wife backed out. I had to let her know I was cancelling my appointment, she took the time to convince me that I could improve my Marriage by self improvement, if I could just meet with her and discuss the issues. I am so glad I did, she has been such a tremendous help, she was quick to help me get started and was very encouraging. I could tell that her mission is to save every Marriage that is suffering.She has a passion for it, she really cares and understands the issues that I was facing. She keeps in close contact with emails and marriage tips and pointers. I am a nurse so I am very fast to try and fix problems, her knowledge and ability to read me our first visit was unbelievable.She takes the time to understand you, and continues to help. You would never guess it today, that only 6 months ago, my marriage was only a signature away from being non existent. My life felt upside down and backwards with no understanding of how to "right the ship". Upon speaking to my soon to be ex wife, we decided to give it one last ditch effort to save our ship, by seeking professional help. We came across Debbie with Marriage Coaching LLC, and decided we would give it a try. We liked the idea of coaching rather than counseling. Debbie focused on how to resolve future issues rather than hashing up old ones. If a past issue were to come up during session, she would focus on how to prevent in the future and not point fingers as to whom was right or wrong in the situation. I am grateful to say we learned some valuable lessons during our time with Debbie! And even more grateful to say my marriage seems to be better than it has been in a very very long time! Debbie is an amazing marriage coach, I would definitely recommend her for any problems that someone might be having, she focuses on actually coaching you and your partner. Instead of the normal listening and being on one person's side, she does what is best for the both of them. She was even kind enough to listen to me when I didn't have the funds but I needed someone and she didn't hesitate. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75 of a one-hour session and do not take insurance. However, if someone is unable to afford my fee I work with them to come up with a fee that is more affordable for them.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first set up an appointment and then I email them a questionnaire to fill out and return to me before the first session. When working with clients, I try to identify behaviors that are harming their marriage and then coach them on how to replace them with behaviors that will strengthen their marriage. I focus on educating clients on how relationships work and give them homework assignments between sessions such as readings, watching videos or practicing new behaviors.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters Degree in Counseling and am an Associate Licensed Counselor in the state of Alabama. I have been trained by experts in the field of marriage education and am a certified administrator of PREPARE/ENRICH, the well-known premarital inventory.
