FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have standard studio and on-location packages provided on my website listed in my profile.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am more self taught them anything. I am a hands on type of learner. I need to see the actual work being done. So I would say University of YouTube. And reaching out to different creatives in my line of work for advice. Can not be afraid to ask for help.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It started in high school 9th grade, I believe. I had signed up for a Photography Class. One day in class my teacher thought it would be fun to show the class how to take great images by shooting with a shoebox. Now I'm thinking to myself hmmm, that don't sound right at all. Without all the gadgets and tools as a actual camera has? We began building using black construction paper, glue sticks, shoebox (of course), safety pin or sewing pin and some film paper used for printing pictures when developing. Once built, we would then place the film paper to the back of the inside of shoebox in a dark area. Close and be sure not to get any light in box once you are about to shoot. Poke a hole on opposite side of film paper. Be sure to cover hole with black tape (No light to enter box). Take it outside, place something heavy on top of shoebox to reassure there's no light leaks and point shoebox at a subject, remove the black tap for 3-5 mins and then place tape back. Using dark room for developing the images and red lighting. If you know what a dark room is. Images comes out as if you used an actual Canon, Nikon, etc. So that was definitely a big push and motivation for me to become a photographer or even look into photography more.
