FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard pricing system is based on $65 per hour labor plus materials and parts.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For years I fixed and built this for friends and family outside of my employment as an electronics technician. I already knew I loved to work with my hands and I woke one day and thought it might be possible that I would be happier working for myself. Come to find out I still do not work for myself. I work for my customers buts that's another story...
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Most handyman perform work by the hour. If they give you a solid quote they may include padded time incase the job runs longer than they think. Find someone that will bill you by hour parts instead of whole hours. Example...I charge 65\hour and round to 15 minute. A job that takes 1 hr 15 minutes will cost you $80 in labor where some would just call that two hours or have a two hour minimum. This can save you money with a competent handyman.
