Introduction: There’s two of us, Ngan (naan) and Dat (simply dat). We both started off in the architectural field and mainly used photography as an extension of our design work. After years of photographing buildings, landscape, and light, we began to focus on people and their stories. Through our lenses, we love to capture moments as they unfold in a documentary, photo-journalistic style. We do less directing and more anticipation of moments that celebrate genuine human connection and love. Our style is simple, clean, and classic. We strive to create timeless images that when looked at years from now, will bring you back to that moment in time.

Hiring Arborway Studio, and talented photographers Ngan and Dat, was the best decision my fiance Kelsey and I have made during our engagement. Ngan and Dat were so nice and helpful, and they also went out of their way to accommodate us with location, outfit changes, and our dog Louie. The most important thing for us was Ngan and Dat's artistic style. They made us feel comfortable and honestly we had tons of fun with it. They had a knack for understanding what my fiance and I were hoping for and then she steered us in the right direction naturally. They were dedicated to getting the best photos and spent the time to get to know our location. For anybody who is looking for a great experience and value for their engagement photos, Arborway Studio is the way to go!

Ngan and Dat were incredible! They were so accommodating and easy to work with for our Wedding Ceremony. They came early and stayed later when the ceremony went longer than we expected. Having two of them made it easy for us to take separate photos before the ceremony (Groom's party and Bride's party). They are the sweetest people ever and made "getting a photographer" the easiest part of planning my wedding. Not to mention they both have an extremely gifted eye and the ability to capture the most special moments. You will feel incredibly comfortable with both of them! I'm so excited to see their careers develop and feel incredibly lucky to have had them for my wedding...before they become impossible to book!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to get to know a little bit about our clients prior to a photoshoot. We typically set-up a call and/or meet in person. It allows us to talk through your expectations and help you get comfortable working with us.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We come from architectural backgrounds and have always used photography as a way to capture our design process. After years of design and architectural photography, we grew fond of capturing people in the landscape/environment. It's one of the best way to portray authentic emotions while it is happening. We love capturing the raw moments and allowing our clients to re-live the experience.
