- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Usually, we work on a contingent fee basis, which means we don't get paid unless you do. We also advance all costs and expenses for handling your case, which are only repaid if we recover on your behalf. Most personal injury cases are handled this way because clients prefer not - or simply cannot - pay an attorney hourly. However, in some circumstances, we will work on an hourly basis if it makes sense for the client and type of case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer a free, confidential consultation. There is no obligation to hire our firm. We prefer to consult with you in person, but often times, an initial consultation can be done over the phone. If you choose to hire our firm, communication with our clients is a critical part of what we do. We will explain the legal process to you, answer all your questions, and keep you informed about your case. Together, we will act as a team to decide on the best strategy to resolve your case.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While our law office is relatively new to Thumbtack, our attorney, Kevin McManus, has handled hundreds of cases throughout Missouri and Kansas. He has helped countless individuals and their families make the best possible decision about their legal issue, even if they do not hire our firm.
