- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a rate of $100 a session; however, depending on the need of the client and factors such as price of living, financial status, etc, I do offer a sliding scale for clients. Fees and payments will be further discussed during the intake process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology at Kennesaw State University (3.85 GPA) and my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University (3.9 GPA). I am also a Licensed Associate Profession Counselor (LAPC) in the state of GA. In addition, I am a Certified Grief Counselor. I participate in no less than 100 hours in continuing education yearly as it relates to therapeutic modalities, interventions, and assessments/diagnosis.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I starting doing this work about 15 years ago when I became employed with a hospice organization. Because I was so connected with the individuals as it relates to their grief issues, I began to want to work with patients and family members to assist with their despair. As I became the grief counselor, I was extremely fulfilled and humbled by patients and families experiences. This is what encouraged the decision to seek out a mental health counseling degree so I can assist ALL achieving a healthy and stable mental life. I am well experienced in assisting individuals and families with emotional despair.
