FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After scheduling the first session, getting to know my clients is the first step. I start with a questionnaire that helps me do that. The questions include the basics like contact information, sizes, and occupation and then go deeper by asking about favorite movies, celebrities, and books.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken courses in image consulting at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. The courses covered the theory and science of image, including color, fit, fabrics, and more. I also interned for 4 months with Helen Perry, and image consultant in Houston with over 30 years of experience, which gave me the practical skills to do my job well. My level of formal training sets me apart from many other image consultants in my area.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After my own amazing experience with a stylist, I decided I wanted to help women feel as good as I did after that consultation. I also wanted to do more than styling. What I do is about so much more than clothes. I researched what it takes to be a stylist, then did it. I went to school and got an internship so I'd be well prepared to help women like myself feel amazing every day.
