Returned my call and came out promptly for an estimate. Appreciated detailed estimate sent. I had several areas on my roof that needed repairing--one rather major. Came when indicated they would, repairs completed and clean up great, Am now waiting for porch repair. Very pleased with my first contact with Thumbtack land Custom Craftsmanship!

We hadEric refurbish and make safe our basement stairs. Very pleased with the result. I've already asked him to give me a quote on another, much larger project. Looking forward to working with him in the future.

Always unwanted surprises when working on my house. Eric had solutions to all the problems, even when he had to return several times. I would trust him with any project. Excellent results!

Hired on Thumbtack

First of all I've been needing a new kitchen since 2000… Wasn't sure who to trust in this day and age so I went ahead and did a Thumbtack search. I only ended up with two names so I arranged for them to come to my house to do an estimate. The first guy was OK but kind of blah he didn't really ask any questions and then along came Eric Cox of custom craftsmanship LLC..he came in asking questions finding out what we wanted and what we didn't want. He even offered to go to the store with us and pick the cabinets out. I was very impressed with him but when he called in the next day or two to check up on me that's when I decided he was the man to go with! So bright and early on the day I picked out Eric and Andrew showed up and started in tearing out the kitchen and five days later I had a brand-new kitchen and bathroom… I can't say enough good things about these two men… Besides seeing their smiling handsome faces every morning for five days they were very polite punctual and was still fun to be around and very professional. I thought that I was being kind of difficult but Eric said I wasn't.😉 They went above and beyond what we ever expected. Pictures are enclosed showing things that he suggested that he didn't have to do. I did a corrugated metal backsplash and Eric suggested doing the kick plate in the same metal and it looks amazing as you can tell in the pictures… I hope you all enjoy the pictures and have Eric do your work for you..

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started my construction career when I was 16. My mother got me a part-time summer job working with off duty firefighters and police officers building decks and fences. I really enjoyed it. My senior year I enrolled in the building trades program and went on to study Construction Technology at Purdue.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

20 years of experience has brought me in contact with the spectrum of clients.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always trust your gut instinct. If a contractor makes you feel uneasy or isn't exactly what you are looking for, be patient, one will eventually come along that is the right fit for you.
