The best desserts in town. My last two cakes were from Candcakes and just let me say they were some of the best cakes i have ever had. I can only imagine what the other desserts taste like. I will be back SOON!

Candy cakes catered my birthday party everything was fantastic and the cheesecake Candace made was by far one of the best I've had. Thanks again for making my birthday special. Service and food is 5 stars.

Candace was very nice and responsive, however the food was not good and everyone was quite disappointed. The rice and peas did not have any flavor and the Mac and cheese was over cooked leaving it extremely dry. We ended up throwing it out. She also made dessert for us and said her speciality was cheese cake. Again, it was dry and overlooked. We had to throw it out. As for the cupcakes I ordered red velvet with cream icing. She also added nuts to the cupcakes, however my daughter has a nut allergy so could not eat the cupcakes. She should not have out nuts in it, because I did not orders it. Another example of her inexperience. I had already hired her to come and bake with my daughter the next day ( based in the dinner I should have cancelled). We agreed that she would make and decorate cupcakes and do candy apples (this was agreed on before hiring her). I had to step out during the session, however many other adults were present. Candace did not bake or decorate any cupcakes. She told them she forgot her cupcake pan. I found that to be highly unprofeasional. Also, it was more like an aunt coming to bake with the kids as opposed to a real chef. The apples and a few cookies she made were sloppy and we ended up throwing it all out. She did not have or come with any baking attire for her or the girls (no apron, chef hat or anything else). We had briefly discussed her catering breakfast and doing appetizers for a New Years party, however after the above experiences I politely told her we would not need this services because the food was that bad. All in all I would not classify her as a chef or one that has food that is tasty. It appears she is just getting started and needs to spend time perfecting her recipes. Although a nice person I would not recommend her and if in the area again I would definitely not hire her! I did however pay my tab in full and the only reason was because it was Xmas and did not want to put a damper on otherwise an outstanding vacation. I gave two stars instead of one, because she is nice and responds promptly to email and texts. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the food and she did not execute on the private baking session she was hired to do. It was Christmas dinner so it was a bigger deal that the food did not meet basic expectations of a quality dinner. If after reading you still decide to her her do not order the following foods: rice and peas, Mac and cheese, curry chicken, or any desserts. The pictures she shows do not match what is produced. Julie, Thank you for reviewing the services you received. I'm truly troubled that you weren't happy with anything provided. Im truly sorry you feel that we didnt live up to the expectations set. I wish I had been given this feedback at the time, as I would have done anything possible to make it right. I certainly wouldn't have come back a second day or taken payment if I knew you were unhappy. I was NEVER told about a nut allergy until I arrived. Red velvet cupcakes traditionally have nuts. I would never endanger anyones life. All of the pictures on my profile are products that I have personally made. I do not misrepresent or my products in any way. I do not have a standard pricing system. each client is different, and requires different levels of services. I also consider individual budgets when working with someone.

I typically want to know what are the expectations of my customer. I like to get a feel for what it is they want and need. I work with them to fins the beat options for their event.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy cooking, and making others happy through food and desserts. I have a large family, and would always be put in charge of cooking. Word of mouth spread and CandyCakes was born.
