Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with. We met a month prior to our photo shoot so she could get familiar with the setting and to find out what kind of photos I was looking for. On the day of the shoot, she was totally prepared, and shooting photos all the time. Needless to say, the photos were fantastic! Everyone was so pleased with the results! Emily captured the moments, the personalities and the love of our family!

I could not have been more pleased with the service Emily provided us on our wedding day! She captured the day in ways I only imagined. What a wonderful photographer and person! One of my biggest wedding concerns was finding a good photographer, not only did I find an exceptional one, but one I hope to use again and again for other family memories. Outstanding job!

My fiancée and I initially found Emily through the Bridal Resale Market on Facebook. She was offering a low price for wedding photography as a way to build her portfolio. I was leery so we decided to use an Engagement shoot as a test run to see if we wanted to use Emily for our wedding. Turns out she is totally underselling herself! I loved the photos she took from our engagement shoot and was happy to quickly snatch her up for my wedding. Not only is Emily one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, but she is incredibly flexible. We wanted to take photos inside COSi since that was where we had our first date. Instead of saying no and trying to stick with what she knows (natural outdoor lighting) Emily was willing to give it a shot and some of my favorite photos came from the experience. Since the original meeting, I have used Emily for a Photoshoot with my niece who is under 2 years old and she handled it beautifully. Not many photographers have the patience that she did during this Photoshoot which bodes well for me since I plan to have young flower girls. Bottom line--Emily is a total steal and I would highly recommend her!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was a hobby photographer for several years, but it wasn't until my son was born that I really became passionate in wanting to preserve the same memories for other families that I was preserving for my own. I believe that quality photography shouldn't be something reserved for an elite few; everyone should have the opportunity to cherish amazing images of themselves and their loved ones.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with newborns, small children, families, couples, high school seniors, and everyone (flower girl, mom, bride, groom, grandma, etc) who is involved in a wedding. I love having a diverse range of customers, as it helps to keep my day-to-day very interesting and fresh, while also giving me great expertise in many areas of photography.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you hire a photographer, you not only hire someone to take pictures, but you are hiring someone to spend the day with you, usually during a very special or intimate time, such as a wedding, or newborn pictures, for instance. Even more fun shoots, such as high school senior sessions or family sessions, can be completely shaped by the way you and your family connect with your photographer. My advice is to make sure your photographer is someone you could almost be friends with, after all, you will be sharing very special moments with them, it certainly helps to hire someone who you can easily feel comfortable with.
