- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As far as my pricing goes, every situation is a little different. When it comes to portraits, my "sitting fee" will include as much time as we need, a CD of images and an online gallery to share with family and friends. When it comes to weddings, I offer my couples 3 different packages that'll include different options based on my clients' needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether it starts with an email or a telephone call, I like to keep the lines of communication with my clients wide open. Depending on the event, I will either met with my clients in person or simply chat with them beforehand as a way of getting to know one another so they don't feel as though I'm simply a stranger asking them to smile. I have been very lucky over the years to where a simple online inquiry or email has turned into a friendship with many of my clients far beyond the day of our photo shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Fitchburg State College (Massachusetts) with a degree in Communication/Media. Through my years at FSC I concentrated on a "track" in photography along with several classes in graphic design.
