FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to get to know my clients first with a phone/video call & then build them a custom package based on their needs. Once we’ve put their perfect package together, I send over a proposal. For portrait sessions I require the full amount to retain my services, for elopements & wedding’s I require 50% of the total. The balance is then due 30 days prior to the event. After I shoot their portraits/wedding/elopement I deliver a sneak peek of at least 25 images within 48 hours & the remaining images are delivered within 4-6 weeks. If any printed products are included, those are delivered once the images have been chosen for printing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my career in photography with film. I took all the film photography classes available at my school. I was processing my own film & printing my own photos in the darkroom. I then switched primarily to digital when I moved away from the photo lab I had access to. I believe I can never stop learning & growing as a photographer, so I attend workshops yearly to learn as much as I can. I also founded a workshop series in 2018. We hosted 2 in 2018 & hope to have the next one in late summer 2019.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Years ago I went back to school, just for fun. I had always enjoyed photography, so I decided to take a few classes. I fell in love with it & took every class my professor offered. Then he suggested I go pro... I was a bit scared, but I went for it & now 3 years later my business, and passion, are flourishing! As far as my specialty as a wedding photographer goes... I shot my first wedding in the Spring of 2016 & just fell in love! I knew that weddings & elopements were my true calling! I also still love shooting family portraits, newborns, seniors, etc. in my free time!
