FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have two ways I work with clients. The first is on a project basis, starting at $300. This can include things like reviewing your budget/debt repayment, reviewing your 401k or other investments, etc. The second way is on an ongoing basis. Most ongoing clients pay $2,400 to $4,800 per year for ongoing investment management and financial planning.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a project, I request you fill out my new client questionnaire and sign an advisory agreement before we meet. That way we can be as efficient as possible in addressing your financial needs. For ongoing wealth management, I like to meet first to get to know each other and talk big picture - goals, needs, philosophy, etc. If we decide to move forward, we will gather all necessary data to begin making recommendations and implementing your plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst®) designation, which is the most respected and recognized investment management designation in the world. I hold the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™) designation which is recognized in the United States and a number of other countries for its (1) high standard of professional education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients. I also hold an undergraduate degree in Economics from Brigham Young University and a masters degree in Finance from the University of Utah.
