Introduction: We have worked on sprinklers for several years (new to Thumbtack) and really enjoy what we do. We've found that most technicians will overcharge client's who have little knowledge on sprinkler repairs. We promise to always stick to our first quote and to give a fair estimate. We will also help instruct the client and give them options to always stay within their budget. We enjoy completing projects to match the exact specifications as outlined by our clients. The only reason they get one star is the guys who came out to work on my job were friendly while they were there. That is where the positives end. When they showed up to do the job of installing my new sprinkler system, there were 2 guys with a shovel and a pickaxe. No trencher. They didn't have all the tools they'd need and constantly left the jobsite to make another run to Home Depot. It took them almost 3 weeks to install a sprinkler system to cover just over 1000 square feet. Parts were purchased at retail price, also from the Home Depot. After job "completion," our sod was laid and the system was turned on to water the new sod. Immediately an unglued cap blew from the line and started flooding my front yard. Pack Sprinkler Repair's response? $45 an hour to come look at it. I fixed the unglued cap issue myself and started the system again. My first sprinkler zone - the first time I ran it - (timed for 10 minutes) - did not shut off at all. After manually shutting off Zone 1, Zone 2 starts flooding my back yard. I've since had 2 other sprinkler repair companies come out, who just shake their head at the quality of work and specifics of things such as sprinkler placement. Long story, I'm now going to be paying an additional $500+ to fix the problems created by the original installation. Steer clear of Pack for a new sprinkler system installation!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically all quotes/bids will be free. After the issue has been diagnosed then I can immediately begin to fix the issue. Clients will only pay for labor, all materials/supplies will be offered at cost. It's important to me that my client is always well informed and has every question answered promptly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Experience and schooling. I have worked on sprinklers since I was a young boy (my father worked on sprinklers for several years) and I do my best to keep up on the latest trends in the landscaping business.
