Introduction: Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” – Maya Angelou Our values are Scientifically supported training methods, Mutual respect, Accountability, Reinforcement Based Training Techniques, Trust Through Clarity, & You! We are lucky to be best friends since grade school who share a passion for dogs. We believe that people and dogs deserve to have great relationships with each other and take joy in helping people build these relationships. Through our work with dog rescue organizations, we know that many dogs that do not stay in their home are killed- in fact, every day 9,000 healthy and treatable dogs and cats are killed in shelters across America.(Best Friends ) We believe that we can impact the lives of dogs by equipping dog owners for success. A dog that comes when called is less likely to end up in a shelter. A dog that has good house manners is less likely to be abandoned.

I adopted a dog that was very scared and Smarty Dog came to my house to help me learn how to work with her to make her more comfortable. They really helped me to help my dog to adjust to our home.

Whitney and Jessica are fantastic. My dogs just love them and respond immediately to what they are being taught. The teaching methods are always positive and fun for the dogs. These 2 ladies are very savvy about dog behavior and they are very accommodating and easy to work with. I recommend them highly and without reservation.
