Introduction
Thank you for your interest in Over and Out Petsitting. I hope all is well with you and yours. Hi, I’m Robin Grossman. I'm Over and Out Petsitting. I'm an in-home petsitter, overnight petsitter, and dog walker with many long-time clients, since 2004. My job is to keep the dog or cat's routine the same, so there is no stress for either the pet or the client or me and that makes everyone happy. I always give my clients more than the clients expect because their pets are worth it. Always. I operate by the Golden Rule and that just makes life easier and happier for me. I’m also insured and bonded. The key is my FREE HOUR CONSULTATION, which includes a dog walk, to make sure we're a good fit for each other. It's an opportunity for me to get all the pet's details, habits, triggers, routines, and issues. It's really important that my clients and I are on the same page on needs and expectations and it just makes every thing easier. I never rush the consultation because there are rare occasions when the dog or cat doesn't like me and I have to turn down a job, but that's always better to know that upfront. In over twenty years, I've had to turn down 3 jobs due to a dog's behavior. In fact, it happened recently for a potential overnight: a dog barked at me from an actual bed, where he sleeps and where the older dog gets fed. The bed is central to their routine. He gave me a warning bark when I got near, telling me to not get close. What is especially important here is that this bark came an hour into the consultation (it went long) after we had a good walk, after I gave him treats, and after he enjoyed pets from me. So that warning bark was a very good sign that the potential client needed to find someone else. I had set up an additional walk, but I later canceled because I realized doing walk would have no bearing on the actual problem: the dog guarding the feeding area. I'm not a trainer, so I'm not the right person for this dog and I turned down the job. I explained all of the above to the potential client, yet she was unhappy and that shows in her review. But I'm nevertheless happy she found someone else, in many ways. For me, no money and no booking is worth stressing out a pet or me. I want petsitting and dog walking to always be a good, stress-free, happy experience for me and the pet and the pet owner. PHOTOS are a Time Stamp My clients love me because I take amazing pictures and videos of their pets and the emailed/texted photos are an extra assurance that I am there looking after their loved ones when I say I am. Visits start with a photo marking the time and the visit ends at the sheduled time. I’ve also Facetimed with my clients, so they can see their furry loved ones. I love taking cat and dog photos. my photos and videos are free to share, as long as I’m credited. Clients, who want a keepsake like mug, a shower curtain, or a keyring with a photo that I took of their pet, give me commercial rights to my photos so I can arrange a print-on-demand creation of the item they want to buy. In one case, a client bought t-shirts, mugs, and socks and a few other things because everyone in the extended family loved their dogs. MY DAYTIME DOG WALKING & PETSITTING RATES Walks are private and NEVER OFF-LEASH. 30 minutes is $25 45 minutes is $30 60 minutes is $35 Each additional Dog/Cat is an extra $5. Difficult dog/cat or difficult medicine or injections is an extra $5. Dogwalks after 8pm are an extra $5. Dogwalks in the RAIN are an extra $5. * Individual walks are paid at time of service. * Weekly clients pay at the end of the week, Sunday. WEEKLY CLIENT DISCOUNTS 5% OFF on (5 or more) visits of 60 min. 5% OFF on (5 or more) TWICE A DAY 30 or 60 min visits. Late payment will likely cost the client an extra $5. MAJOR HOLIDAYS are an extra $10/day, BUT NOTE: CHRISTMAS WEEK, THANKSGIVING WEEK, and NEW YEAR'S WEEK are an extra $10/day. I'M THERE FOR MY CLIENTS, if they have a blind 16-year-old, 35 lb. beagle with cancer and incontinence, who needs to be carried outside multiple times a day or night. Or if they have a 5 A.M. flight and they need me at their house at 4 A.M. Or if my clients forgot their medication and passports and they need me to FedEX it stat. And all of that has happened. My clients trust me to get the job done because I operate on the Golden Rule and the boys scout rule of leave no trace; this means I treat your pets and your home the way I would want my pets and my home treated. I clean before I leave. I don't clean the whole house, just areas that I used or the pets used. My only Achilles Heel is that I can't make a bed to save my life. 12 HR OVERNIGHT PETSITTING......$80 (3 dogwalks) Includes 2 evening walks and 1 morning walk. I sleep over and care for your dog. If your dog is used to sleeping in your bed, I'll be happy to bunk with him. : D This includes 3 walks, which depends on the health and needs of your dog as well as weather conditions. Overnights include feeding, clean up, play, taking in mail, watering plants, changing lights on/off, taking out garbage, and unlocking/re-locking gate for the gardener. I generally do not offer overnights for just cats, but I have done it and I'm happy to be of service. I clean up before I leave, so I leave no trace. I bring my own food. Mid-day walks are extra, if the booking is less than 24 hours. VACATION OVERNIGHT PETSITTING Multi-day, sometimes multi-week petsitting. Your home becomes my home base. This means I spend more hours looking after your pet than you could afford to pay. Includes 12 hr Overnight rate (3 walks)....$80 + $35 $80 overnight plus $35 dollars for the rest of the day because I may have other dog walking clients. So that’s roughly $115 per 24 hours or $4.79/hr. That’s a great deal. Your place is looked after, your pets get the best personal care and playtime, and you get frequent updates of photos, videos of your pet(s). I send a lot of photos. : D Many clients hire me for vacation petsitting. I sleepover at their house or apartment. I bring my own food and I look after their pets. The pets get a lot of attention because I sit where they sit and I pet them for hours, while we play or watch TV. I walk them. I brush them. I give them treats. They sleep in the bed with me if they're used to sleeping in the bed with my client. And I ask clients to show me how they play with their pets so I can copy that. You would be so surprised how different people play with their pets. Some are surprisingly rough with their pets, but then those pets love it. Many clients have jokingly complained that their pets don't miss them. That is a job well-done. The dogs are happy and relaxed! Because overnights are a vacation for them too! My clients love me because they know that weekly clients and vacationing clients get a favorable discount. We can always work something out to keep everyone happy.

My friend who stayed at my place referred me to Robin who she’s friends with from Thumbtack to house sit and walk my dogs at the last minute Robin was great with my dogs and took good care of our place. I feel blessed and thankful for my friend to have referred her especially it was last minute for work and needed her to spend time with one of my dogs which she did for both as well. I highly refer her to anyone who needs a dog sitter for any animal and fell safe that she will stay at your place and she can be trusted to me this is very important.

Teddy is wonderful and an absolute joy to visit. I love that he knows "go potty" means go outside and do his business. On command! I'm continually shocked that it works. LOL. You are very lucky to have found this little fluffy gem.

I cannot recommend Robin enough!! She is not only incredibly trustworthy but also a true animal lover. From the moment we met, it was obvious how much she genuinely cares for animals, and my dogs absolutely adore her. Whether it’s a quick walk or a longer stay, I can always rest easy knowing that my fur babies are in excellent hands when I’m away. Robin consistently goes above and beyond, and I never have to worry about their safety or happiness. She’s a gem!

Robin is wonderful, and exactly what you look for in a pet sitter: does what she says she will, likes to be prepared, is extremely thorough, and has a natural way with animals that is apparent the second you meet her. I’ve had bad past experiences with other pet sitters from certain other online services that made me hesitate to try again, but Robin is a true professional. I could tell my cat was comfortable and I would absolutely have her pet sit again. Bonus: she sends tons of great photos!
