FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Headshots are fairly standard as THEY want a real version of what the subject really looks like in order to cast properly. The reason my headshots help actors book, is I understand the fine line between hyping up someones beauty and keeping it real. They want real...but they want attractive real. FOR FASHION/MUSIC ALL BETS ARE OFF AND WE CAN BE AS CREATIVE AS WE WANT. As an art director and stylist as well, I often work with the artist to discover new possibilities in their look/brand.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 16 I took some polaroids of a friend after doing her makeup. One of those pictures was incredible...I immediately started shooting and began getting offers for paying gigs within a month. I've been going ever since.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
look for someone creative. an artist. someone who will give you not just a standard portrait but imagery that transcends the boring and obvious and achieves ART.
