FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Design Service Fees: Generally, I can work on an hourly rate basis or a flat retainer fee. If you'd like to run by the hour, I charge $70/hour. Or, a flat rate retainer will estimate at a 20-30 hour project minimum, times my hourly rate. Retainer project minimum runs $1,400 - $2,100.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Design Hutch client on-boarding: Let's get to know each other! As the client, please share with us what you need done in your home or office, what kind of style you generally like for yourself, your ideal merchandise budget and a few photos of the existing space. Are there things you must have or absolutely hate. Are you a huge color person? Do you love open space? Our first few interactions will be on the phone and via e-mail where you can share with me what your needs are and send over some inspiration images. That way I can get a feel for what you are like and what you'd need. Next, we would meet in the space that you need designed for an on-site walk-thru. After this in person walk-thru, I'll be able to formulate an estimated quote for merchandise and my design services. I am an Interior Designer that can create CAD floor plans, 3-D Renderings, Design Boards, Budgets etc. I contract out for all installations such as tile, wallpaper, painting, furniture assembly, etc.
