Masatoshi played with his trio for my wedding reception and I couldn't have asked for a better band to play. He was flexible to the weather (it was a rainy reception!), finding a dry place to set up, the rain did not stop them! They really set the mood, creating a jovial and social ambiance. They played while guests were eating and talking and really captured our guests with their talented musicality and and stunning performance. Thank you so much for being a part of a memorable day!Apr 16, 2016
I was taking bass lessons from Masatoshi for a while. He was a very fun and effective teacher, and showed me a lot of important things regarding bass technique and music theory. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a great music teacher!Apr 12, 2016
I am a beginner guitar student and cannot say enough about Toshi's teaching style! In my first week, he taught me all of the basic notes, and by the end of the first month, I was learning chords & scales and playing songs! Every week is structured and Toshi always has new exercises for me to practice between lessons. I would recommend him to anyone!Apr 6, 2016

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always ask my new student to play the most recent piece that they learned. So I would know which level the student is at. I will be making suggestions on playing, techniques, and giving new pieces to play. If the student is a beginner and just starting to learn instrument, we will be spending a couple of weeks, practicing and doing exercises and learning songs to help them memorize the notes on fretboard and reading notes. Then, we will be learning scales, chords, and more complicated pieces. And I always encourage students to spend time on their instruments as much as possible.
